Experience
Experience on industrial & mining and mill equipment desirable
Work includes structural welding as well as heavy equipment repairs
- Experience on industrial & mining and mill equipment desirable
- Work includes structural welding as well as heavy equipment repairs
- Structural components, plate, pipe, castings, forgings other
- Equipment repairs - Frame crack repairs, crack inspections etc.
- Machining preparatory welding - Bore welding, facing etc.
- Familiarity with heat treating & metallurgical theory is a real plus
- Fabrication work background beneficial

- Mild Steel
- Alloy steels
- Stainless steels ( All types)
- Aluminum, Copper, brass other
Processes:
- MIG, TIG, Stick, Gas
- Carbon Arc (CAW)
- Flux Cored Arc (FCAW)
- Gas Metal Arc (GMAW)
- Plasma Cutting
- Oxy/Acetylene - Cutting, welding, brazing & soldering
Experience with the following machines will be helpful to the applicant
- All types of electric welding equipment
- Carbon Arc Gouging experience desired
- Hydraulic Press Brake - CNC
- Plate Shear
- Radial Arm Drill Press & portable drill presses
- Iron workers & hydraulic punch equipment
- Portable & stationary grinding equipment
- Line boring welding experience a real benefit
- Supervisory and estimating experience a plus
Testing
- AWS D1.1 Certification test will be administered prior to hiring.
